This project has been a kitchen table endeavor from the beginning. I partnered with John Cavalier at Looziana Book Company for publishing and distribution. Looziana Book Company, based in Denham Springs, Louisiana, is a major distributor of local and regional titles on New Orleans and Louisiana. In addition to that, they also run two retail bookstores in Louisiana: Cavalier House Books in Denham Springs and Cavalier House Books Lafayette. The successes in distribution and retail have led to their latest venture–publishing. New Orleans: A Photo Guide to the Wild Mélange is their first adult trade publication. I’m thankful to Looziana Book Company for helping me bring this book to the marketplace.
